2- Solid Waste Treatment Facilities
1- Wastewater Treatment Plants:
1- Design, Build and Commission of a 1125 m³/d domestic wastewater treatment plant in Gharifeh, for the account of the Chouf Es Swaijany Municipality Union. The selected technology is the activated sludge with a nitrification/ denitrification step.
2- Design, Build and Commission of a 1350 m³/d domestic wastewater treatment plant in Jdeidit El Chouf, for the account of the Chouf Es Swaijany Municipality Union. The selected technology is the activated sludge with a nitrification/ denitrification step.
3- Design, Build and Commission of a 2025 m³/d domestic wastewater treatment plant in Ain Bal for the account of the Chouf Es Swaijany Municipality Union. The selected technology is the activated sludge with a nitrification/ denitrification step.
4- Design, Build and Commission of an industrial wastewater treatment facility for the treatment of Schuman's chicken slaughterhouse wastewater. Daily flow 100 m³/d. Plant loading: BOD: 684 mg/l, TSS= 712 mg/l.
5- Design, Build and Commission of a dairy farm wastewater treatment facility (Liban Lait) using the high rate anaerobic digestion technology followed by an aeration polishing phase. Daily flow: 350 m³/d. Removal efficiency: BOD5 = 98%, COD = 91%.
6- Design, Build and Commission of a 600 m³/d two stages trickling filters using rock media for the Rachaya municipality. This project is funded by the USAID.
7- Design, Build and Commission of a 100 m³/d two stages trickling filters using rock media for the Haitoura municipality. This project is funded by the USAID. Facility to be delivered by November 2005. Effluent Parameters: BOD5< 25 mg/l, TSS<30 mg/l.
8- Design, Build and Commission of a 6 m³/d small scale domestic wastewater treatment plant for a building in the region of Jeita.
9- Design, Build and Commission of the first Leachate treatment facility in the Middle East for the Zahleh landfill. The project is funded by the USAID through the Cooperative Housing Foundation (CHF). The technology used includes the use of Jet Aeration as aeration means and Membrane Filtration. The system includes an anoxic tank for denitrification. Daily flow 35 m³/d. Plant loading: BOD5 = 9951 mg/l, COD = 10,989 mg/l, TSS = 1,379 m/l.
10- Design, Build and Commission of an industrial wastewater treatment plant for the Cadbury Adams Middle East factory, located in Zouk Mosbeh, Jounieh, Lebanon. The systems uses membranes instead of the classical clarifier unit. Daily flow 100 m³/d. Plant loading: BOD5 = 1,500 mg/l, COD = 2,000 mg/l, TSS = 250 m/l. Expected effluent parameters: BOD5 <10 mg/l, COD = 1250 mg/l, TSS <5mg/l.
